  • The right to information act 2005 empowers every citizen of India to seek any information from the government , public officers and public authorities.
  • some information which are confidential in nature are not provide to public . otherwise all information are disclosed.
  • The RTI bill was passed by parliament if India on 15 June 2005 and came force with effect from 12 October 2005.
  • every day on an average , over 4800 RTI application are filled.
  • In the first 10 years of the commencement of the act over 17,500,000 application had been filed.
